As you age, your skin experiences the effects of years of sun exposure and the slow of elastin and collagen production. This creates sagging skin and hollowness that can impact the look of the cheeks, under eyes, jowls, and neck. This can accentuate the look of lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity.
Sculptra® is a non-surgical solution for facial hollowness; this injectable gradually stimulates collagen production to deliver natural-looking results for up to 2 years. Sculptra® is the only FDA-approved biodegradable collagen biostimulator that works deep in the skin to improve its inner structure to smooth facial wrinkles, sagging, and hollowness.
Sculptra® stimulates the natural replacement of your own lost collagen and rebuilds the skin’s structure. This injectable can treat the cheeks, chin, temples, jawline, and more. At Renew Wellness & Aesthetics, our highly trained injectors use Sculptra® for patients looking for next-level facial rejuvenation that produces long-term, natural results. 94% of Sculptra® patients agreed that the treatment results still looked natural 2 years after the last treatment.

What to Expect
Consultation
Before any Sculptra® appointment, our providers always start with an in-depth consultation to assess your needs and talk through your desired results. After determining that Sculptra® is the best treatment for your needs, we'll create a custom treatment plan according to your goals.
Injections
For the treatment itself, we will prep your skin and mark where the injections will go. Your provider will inject a predetermined amount of Sculptra® filler into the areas while keeping you relaxed and comfortable. We work to make this process as quick as possible with minimal pain.
Results
You will have immediate results from Sculptra®, but there may be some swelling or bruising that will subside over the next several days. We'll go over aftercare details with you to help you achieve the best results with at-home care.
How Sculptra Works
As we get older, our bodies produce less and less collagen. The decline of this essential protein is one of the main reasons we start to see signs of aging appear over time. Sculptra is designed to restore decreased collagen production.
Sculptra is made of a substance called poly-L-lactic acid. When Sculptra is administered, it immediately fills the targeted treatment area with volume. While this initially gives an effect similar to dermal filler, it is only temporary.
However, as your body absorbs the poly-L-lactic acid, it stimulates the production of collagen. Over time, you will notice significant and long-lasting improvements in the appearance of your skin after receiving Sculptra in Oklahoma City. The results of Sculptra injections can last two years or longer.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Sculptra® different from other types of fillers?
Sculptra® is unique from other filler types because instead of the typical hyaluronic acid formula, it uses a poly-L-lactic acid formula that stimulates your body's own natural collagen production to restore volume.
Will Sculptra® hurt?
Sculptra® is an injection, so you will feel a pinch of discomfort as your injector administers the treatment. Most patients tolerate this well, but if you are concerned about pain, don’t let that hold you back from treatment. We offer three pain management options for our injectables—a topical anesthetic, an injectable anesthetic, and ProNox.
1. Topical Anesthetic
Your provider can apply this topical numbing cream to the treatment area so you won’t feel pain during the injection.
2. Injectable Anesthetic
Your provider can inject small amounts of lidocaine into the treatment area so your skin will be numb and you won’t feel any pain.
3. ProNox
ProNox is an inhalant consisting of nitrous oxide and oxygen that provides fast-acting pain relief and helps to relax your body. It will make you feel like you’ve had a few glasses of wine, but the effects wear off quickly—in about 10 minutes.
If you are nervous about treatment, let your provider know. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible in our clinic.
Where can I get Sculptra injected?
The most common areas for Sculptra® injections are on the face, including the temples, chin, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and smile lines. Alternatively, some providers will inject Sculptra® in the buttocks for a non-surgical BBL or in the hands to restore volume.
How long do Sculptra® results last?
Sculptra® helps patients achieve long-lasting, satisfying results for up to 2 years. 100% of Sculptra® patients showed improvement in wrinkles 2 years after their last treatment, and 94% of Sculptra® patients agree that the treatment results still looked natural 2 years after their last treatment.
How do I know if Sculptra is right for me?
At Renew Wellness & Aesthetics, every new patient appointment starts with an individualized consultation. At this consultation, you’ll sit down with one of our skincare experts to discuss your skin concerns and goals for treatment. Our provider will then examine the area you’d like to improve and determine if Sculptra is the right treatment to achieve your desired look.
How long does Sculptra in Oklahoma City take?
Sculptra is a quick treatment that some patients do over their lunch break! Your provider will first mark the direct injection points and then administer the injections. This entire process usually takes about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area and the number of injections you need.
What should I expect after treatment? When will I see results?
There is no downtime after Sculptra injections, but we do recommend patients avoid exercise for the first 24 hours after treatment.
Most patients begin to see results after 4 to 6 weeks, but improvements in your skin will continue to appear in the following months. Sculptra is one of the longest-lasting injectables on the market—some patients have enjoyed their youthful results for 2 to 5 years after their Sculptra treatment!
What are the side effects of Sculptra?
Like any aesthetic treatment, Sculptra has a risk of side effects. The side effects we see from Sculptra in Oklahoma City tend to be mild and resolve quickly, but can include redness, bruising, swelling, and pain at the injection site.
