ReVive utilizes a bipolar radio frequency configuration for a comfortable, no-downtime treatment option. Radio frequency skin tightening relies heavily on the moisture and hydration level of the tissue being treated. The labia’s natural moisture content and the area’s intrinsic hydration make treatments to this skin particularly responsive and effective.
Treatments generally take 30 minutes to perform. The treatment schedule is once every 2-3 weeks and a series of 6 is typically recommended. Some patients will achieve satisfactory results in fewer sessions. Maintenance sessions may be followed once every 6 months, especially for patients with loose skin due to aging. Before each treatment, patients are responsible for thoroughly cleansing the area and making sure the labia are completely shaved. Shaving should be done at least 24 hours prior to each appointment. Hair may interfere with the electrodes and the treatment efficacy.
Immediately prior to each treatment session, the labia will be cleansed with a non-alcohol based solution. Ultrasound gel will be applied throughout the treatment. The skin tightening electrodes are placed against the vulvar tissue with slight pressure throughout several passes. The patient will experience a very comfortable warming sensation along with mild pressure from the device. Following the treatment, patients can immediately return to their normal activities.
