Galleri is a multi-cancer screening test that analyzes DNA in your blood for patterns associated with cancer. How Does Galleri Work?
Cancer cells shed small fragments of DNA into the bloodstream. Galleri analyzes these fragments for methylation patterns, chemical markers that differ between cancerous and healthy cells. If a pattern is found, the test predicts where in the body the signal may be coming from.

What Happens During Your Galleri Appointment?
Your provider reviews your health history and discusses whether Galleri is appropriate for you. A member of our team then draws a small amount of blood, similar to a routine lab test. The sample is then sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis, and you can return to your day right away.
What to Expect After Your Test
There is no recovery time. Your provider will contact you once your results are available, typically within a few weeks. If a cancer signal is detected, your provider will explain what it means and coordinate follow-up testing, which is needed to confirm whether cancer is present. If no signal is detected, continue your regular screenings.
Understanding Your Galleri Results
Galleri results are reported as either cancer signal detected or no cancer signal detected. A negative result does not rule out cancer, and a positive result does not confirm it. Like any screening test, Galleri can miss some cancers, especially in the earliest stages, and it can occasionally produce a false positive. This is why we recommend using it alongside your standard screenings.
